What does a Roughneck do?

Roughneck also know as a Floorhand.

The roughneck is hard-manual labor working on oil rigs. Roughneck's duties include the pipe handling, casing and drilling equipment on the drill floor also has to performance the maintenance on the equipment. 

The roughneck work on the drill floor of a drilling rig handling specialized drilling equipment for drilling, makes and breaks rotary connections using rig tongs, handles tubular goods, elevators and slips, and operates semi-automated pipe-handling machines.

Additionally, the roughneck participates in the every day cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance work on the drill floor and in the shale shaker room.
